Mental Training For Golf Not What You Think
Here we are, trying to make sense out of mental training for golf. Lets start by me saying Im a skeptic and that has been a healthy thing for me over the years. I am also an optimist and yes, the two conflict at times. Lets proceed anyway just slowly.

Well, now weve let the proverbial cat out of the bag! Mental training for golf has to start with a discussion on mental training. If you stop for a long moment and close your eyes I mean really what happens? Maybe the darkness is there or maybe the problems of the day immediately show themselves the faces and places and ponderings they are all there in an instant.
This is what lives in the mind thoughts. It hardly matters what they are - new, pretty, crazy or ingenious. The point here is that the mind doesnt seem to like a vacuum and will just pop another picture up to fill any void it finds. Faster than a speeding train the mind can launch an ad campaign or start to write a jingle or play. It might even offer mental training for golf, but probably not when you want it.

The Good News
The good news is that we can use these aspects of the mind to effect our mental training for golf. Oh good! After we have recognized that the mind runs here and there, the idea of focus and attention starts to become more important.
